The Ashes gets underway today Down Under and we already have a hat trick.
The score at the end of first day's play is Eng(1st):  260/10 and Aus(1st): 25/0. Looks promising ;)

Anyways, we look for the unusual in the Ashes history:

Robin Smith (ENG)   took part in 15 Ashes tests (1989-93) without ever being on the winning side. Which Oz was unlucky for the Baggy Greens at the height of their dominance and almost emulated the feat with lesser number of tests?
